Bio
I deejayed my first party when I was about 19 with a Radio Shack mixer and a Pioneer CDJ-500 that I saved (what felt like forever) to be able to buy. Nevertheless, I eventually paused the hobby in favor of obtaining degrees and pursing a career in public service. Fast forward a couple of decades and I found I had more money to pursue that pastime (as a result, I have made sure that all of my equipment is top-notch and reliable during my events), but I also figured that I could parlay my love of DJ-life into a business, even as I continue along in my career in public service.
Starting a business is a scary proposition, but since I love music, turntablism and respect the cultural importance of the DJ, I figured this would be my best chance at being an entrepreneur. Although I am most comfortable with the genres of Hip Hop and House, I play R&B, Funk, Jazz, Pop, Oldies, or whatever else is important to you at your event.
Unlike someone who may be deejaying full-time, I do have to weigh event requests against my other responsibilities. Nevertheless, I am much more about quality than quantity when it comes to my events. In the meanwhile, I have been taking classes to advance my abilities as a DJ and I gladly bring those skills with me to my events.
Also, I recently went through the background check process for the Prince George's County Public School System when I played at one of their senior proms this past spring and would be happy to go through that process for some of the other school systems in the Baltimore/DC Metro area.
I hope you will consider working with me. If your event calls for it (and it probably does), please ask me about what I can do to address any lighting and special effects needs you may have to increase its excitement level.
If I have performed for you in the past, please leave a review for others below to help them know what to expect. Thanks!
